Last one for this evening.
If you like a mellow, very laid back but smooth sound this is a fine track, imo, from a band with a, shall we say, unusual name.
Anyway.....enjoy :

Oh and by the way....it's a bloke singing.
I'm sure I'll get used to cream first soon.

Thanks Martin @port perran . Interesting indeed, I have heard of (but never heard) Charlie Hunter and I like it. I do of course know of Steve Howe but have never heard this side of him - excellent.

How about these from a Yes tribute band called Fragile featuring Claire Hamill, all should be self explanatory.

Thanks for those links Tim.
I haven't heard of the tribute band before and they are pretty good.
However, I'm afraid I find Claire Hammil's voice a bit overpowering and grating which, for me, spoils it a bit.

Hi Martin,

Interesting that you should say that about Claire, in one of her own comments she said she was pushing her singing a bit. I have quite a few of her albums and find I really like some of her songs and not others. Her album "Voices" was clever and interesting and way ahead of its time.

One of my recent favourites.

That's very nice.
Her voice isn't overpowering on that. I'll listen to a bit more of her work later.

And whilst we are on the subject of female singers, this is a favourite of mine at the moment.
It might not be to everyone's taste but definitely worth a listen.
Imagine you are in a Swedish jazz club in Malmo listening to some French inspired music :

Ah... Mick @Newportnobby Nightwish! The louder the better but I like Floor Jansen best as lead singer. Ghost Love Score live at Tampere is awesome but are they a bit of a one trick pony? Cheers Tim

To actually answer the original question, Gretel Hänlyn.

Moonglum

Martin @port perran , very nice from Koop, a little bit like Caro Emerald.

Mick, @Newportnobby , well I was really expecting to hear a monstrous riff coming in but it didn't!

Great to hear some acts that are new to me, thank you both.

Tim

Moonglum

That's more like it Mick - nice but not too sure about slightly growly vocals!

Cheers,

Tim
