Aside of n guage what other interests do you have ?

Despite being 68 I still ride motorbikes almost daily and do some art, painting...

Play a bit of guitar, mostly blues.

How about you ?

Quite varied.  Astronomy has always been a firm interest, resulting a computer controlled 200mm scope in a DIY roll of roof observatory I built in 2011.

I also like messing about with electronics including the designing of PCB's.

I've always been interested in video equipment and document my interest in trains, full size and model on a youtube channel.

Recently developed an interest in CAD and hope to have a printer at some point in the future

70 years young and still ride my motorbike when all things come together such as dry weather, no aches & pains etc etc so you can maybe gather I don't do much mileage.
Love prog rock, classical, electric folk, blues and basically all good music which does not include rap, what they call R & B nowadays and pop.
Armchair sports include MotoGP, IoM TT, F1, American football and cycling (track and Grand Tours)

Drinking VB. :beers:

Oh, also electronics, which often ties in with model railways.

Malc of this parish and I are about to embark on the construction of Gameboys using a Raspberry Pi Pico.

Recently bought an ex-military, 1967 Land Rover Series 2A and have the bulkhead out to cut out rust and weld in new metal - the rest of it seems pretty good. It was possibly not the right time to buy it, as my eldest son (away at university) has not yet taken his test, so we currently have my wife's Motability car (which she rarely drives), the "family" Zafira, my kit-car, now the Land Rover and  my wife's old Matiz. Until my son passes his test and we give him a car, we therefore have 5 cars and I am the only regular driver!

Loads of other hobbies but sadly never enough time for them all.

Aside from having a passion for British N-Gauge GWR steam era since I was a kid - my late father indoctrinated me! - I also am really into military history (Napoleonic, Samurai, WW2, British Colonial, Victorian Wars, etc), model making and converting (figures, AFVs and aircraft), 3D printing, various art projects, etc.

I use to play competitive sports through college level - D1 American football - and then went onto coach for 30 years...but then gave it up during the Wuhan Plague mess. In fact, to be honest, aside from learning 3D printing during that miserable period - I had to shield for health reasons - I lost my desire for a lot of things.

Just hit 60 and wondering if I will ever get to my massive stash of things. I worked for a big US hobby company for a long time and ended up with loads of toys.  :laugh3: Yet, now don't think I will get to it all...perhaps during the next global pandemic, which is just around the corner!  :-X

My other passion (apart from railway related passions) is classic computing, also referred to nowadays as retro computing. My poison of choice is the Commodore Amiga, which I intend to use to control the micro layout of which I'm in the planning stage.

For the rest I like walking, travel and photography (digital as well as a bit of film).

The Q

Model Railways, N, EM, 009.

Sailing, which I've done for almost 50 years, now sail a mini keel boat I designed and built myself.

1984 Landrover 110, not a defender, needed to tow boats and transport layouts.

Radar Museum, https://www.radarmuseum.co.uk/, I volunteer 1 day week, make the occasional model between guiding visitors, and repair the odd bit of equipment. Switches with plastic parts weren't designed to still work after 50 years plus..

There's an acre and a half of garden to look after...

Repairing, modifying and building weaving equipment for SWMBO..

Coyote

Zwift, an indoor cycling game, currently on level 93, just 7 to go.

Mr Sprue

When I purchased this Austrian Beauty, I hadn't actually planned to make a hobby out of retrofitting it, but so far its been quite an interesting and sometimes a testing journey, especially sourcing good quality parts!

Yes it is, and it can even engrave your name in the odd slice!  :)

I recently became very fond of sports. I do this almost every day. It all started when I read an interesting article and decided to try doing a few exercises in the morning to relieve back pain. I noticed that after two weeks, I began to feel better and got rid of the pain. I realized that I needed to start exercising, and it would positively impact my well-being.
