Quote from: Bealman on October 29, 2024, 09:01:05 AMI've made a a big boo boo. 75! Ooops!

There was absolutely no way I was going to attempt to raise that little detail with a distinguished physicist.  I knew full well that I'd be presented with pages 'N' pages of complex equations leading to authoritative proof that 70 is the new 75.

Physics is such fun!  I used to like walking along the corridor of a train leaving a station and find I was going nowhere.  Childish, moi?

With all good wishes.

John

Depends. If the train was traveling at the speed of light, all sorts of stuff might happen... length and time dilation, etc.

All relative to the observer, of course! ;)
But what about if you jump in the air?
Do you travel backwards ;)
I'm sure I'll get used to cream first soon.

You'd have to assume the answer is 'Yes', as the earth continues rotating while you're in the air :hmmm:

Stunning model Rob

I have 4 Class 20s. If intending to add the contents of the detailling bag they are tiny and need tweezers and care as extremely fiddly ! Chris

The EFE much discussed class 41 Warship has arrived with me. I thought I'd ordered the plain green version but evidently not :-[
It's quite a heavy little beastie and is certainly a great looker but I won't get to run it until tomorrow and then only on plain track so am not anticipating any problems to arise with no points.

Greygreaser

One more for the LNER period fleet, from a disposal of a collection and it appears to have never been run although the original packaging is dated 2001.
Tried it with a 9volt battery and it runs ok fwd and rev but sounds a bit 'geary'. The paint etc is good and it cost slightly under list????
Excuse photo 'on a bend' had camera/phone too close - loco is not bent (yet, my record is 2 damaged so far)
Thanks for Birthday message this week, to manage another 366 seems to have wizzed by, Merry Christmas 'N all the best for '25.

A jack of all trades is a master of none, but often times better than a master of one.

Lovely photos, what a great way to display a loco. Looking forward to getting one, but might wait to see if Efe do a mod themselves rather than get it wrong myself.
