Sorry folks.  Selling off all my n gauge items as I just don't have the time.  Space or bank balance to carry it on.

I have crossed over to the dark side of Em gauge which has taken over the room and my bank balance.
Most of my stock is new or test run.

There are  locomotives mostly steam early emblem.
Various wagons. Coaches. Code 55 turnouts electrofrog.
various scenic items.
Items can be found in the N'porium section on buy it nows.

I have listed locos first with more following over the course of the week.

Many thanks

jon

Sorry to hear that Jon.  Hope you make your money back and enjoy Em Gauge!

Jonny

Thanks Tank. Long as though I make some money back to assist the bank balance I'm happy. I must confess that I have kept two n gauge locos to run on my father's layout. My dapol A4 and my j94 early emblem. This is my first foray into em gauge and full on kit building. I have chosen to model the Lancashire and Yorkshire railway circa 1895-1905. The prototype being Holmfirth. I am hoping this will be an exhibition layout. The buildings are being built by Peter Leyland. Rolling Stock and track work by me.
This is my first locomotive . Aspinal class 27. This is an old MPD Kit upgraded by some scratch built items and extra details added.  Painting and lining being done by me.

Thanks for having me on the site

regards

Now thats a coincidence!.

I was born and raised in Carlisle and have just decided to move away from N-gauge due to a change in family circumstances and my not so nimble fingers.

I have a hankering after some 'Pops' engines. He was a driver at Upperby shed in LMS/BR days. I bought a couple of cheap OO locos and that decided me.

I am now lifting Kato Unitrack and seem to have an enormous pile of it, mostly unballasted with both 4# and 6# radius points with Kato switches etc etc. Also lots of modern image locos and rolling stock.

I intend to sell it all, once i have found out the best place to do it. Maybe in batches rather than one huge pile!.

Have had a look on the internet and EM seems an odd choice. I saw TT at Warley and that does seem a logical temptation since it is still a space saved but you can see more than N.

Answering the "Why did you choose EM gauge" thread on a website must surely just have answers racked about guilt over track width. All the videos just look like OO gauge going in straight lines to me.

But good luck and enjoyment with it. It's still about trains and it's still modelling so that's OK.

From previous experience I would suggest you sort the straights into their respective lengths and offer them as batches in those lengths.

The same with any curves, sell them in either lots of four or eight of the same radii.

For the points you could sell them individually or in pairs e.g. one left hand and one right hand.

I feel sure you will get buyers on the forum if you use the N'porium to list them  ;)

cheers John.

The reason for choosing em was down to a few reasons.

1). Yes the track issue.
2). The wheels fill the splashers on the locos better. Look more like the prototype.
3). The challenge of building your own track work rather than buying ready made items.

Each to their own I say and mine is em.

if I come back to n gauge it would be done in 2mm fine scale

thanks for the replies

Sorry to hear you're moving away from N gauge, Jonny, but there is no need to leave the forum because of that. After all, a great deal of the information available here is not gauge limited so you may still pick up some tips.

Don't feel you need to apologise for changing your interests! I can see the appeal of EM with stuff looking just-so and the rewarding nature of kit building. I hope it goes well and if you have the time, please post some photos!

Jonny

Thanks Guys. I will still pop back to say hi. After all I am keeping two n gauge trains to play with on dads layout.

Thanks for all the kind words
