Thanks for that @TrevL - we are fine here but there has been some very heavy rain and strong gusts of wind. The tornado was about 15 miles from where we are and, apparently, about five miles further along the road, Carrick-on-Shannon had a "tremendous thunder and lightning storm" a few minutes before the tornado, according to the local papers website.
