I do have the 45 of America.
When I saw ELP at Leicester Keith Emerson had progressed to swords :D

I didn't get to see ELP live and to be honest they were not quite in my Premier League (Division 1) of bands - so to speak, more like Championship league (Division 2). I think their first and second albums were good and I have the first on CD. "Pictures at an Exhibition" was pretty good but I lost interest with "Trilogy". I did though (in 1977) buy a brand new copy of "Works Volume 1" for 99p from a shop in Paddington, I kept quiet and offered the lady behind the counter £1 and got 1p change and went home to enjoy my bargain!

Here for our illustrious leader @Tank is Tank...

Actually, my favourite track from their first album is "Just Take a Pebble".

It might come as no surprise that Just Take a Pebble was also my favourite track.
I thought that first album was pretty good but like @Moonglum I rather lost interest after that.
I too never saw the band live.
I'm sure I'll get used to cream first soon.

I know absolutely nothing about this band but came across them this evening.
There seems to be little info about them at all but I ended up quite liking this :

Very nice Martin, reminds me of another band but cannot quite remember who!

Pleasant enough but not the sound that sits you up in your seat with a "Wow"

I have ELP's first album, 'Trilogy' and 'Pictures' on vinyl and The Atlantic Years compilation on CD and, yes, another vote for 'Just take a Pebble' :D

Digging through some old tracks and found this. Must be nearly 60 years ago. Still relevant today, I fear.
The years have been good to me, it was the weekends that did the damage.

Another excellent night at The Proms. This time music by Mancini, Bacharach and friends.
I love to see classical musicians getting their rocks off. Not sure if one of the double bass players was meant to twirl his bass round a la ELO but great to see ;D

Newportnobby

What I consider to be the very best of Jethro Tull's eras with the BBC 'Sight and Sound' concert.
The music/musicianship is superb and Ian Anderson's comments between songs are quite amusing

Brought back so many memories, Mick. I had a reel to reel tape of one of their concerts in Paris (I think). They did all their classics and finished with Too old to Rock and Roll, too young to die. I played that tale until it wore out.

Pink Floyd, at least up until "Animals" was in my Premier League of bands. David Gilmour has had a successful career as a solo performer (sorry I have not bothered with Roger Waters at all).

I have always approached his recent solo studio albums with a degree of trepidation in so much as will I like it or will it be disappointing on the strength of his work with Pink Floyd. I have to say his live work works best for me.

His new release "Luck and Strange" is now out and comes in with 9 tracks at just under 44 minutes*. A big surprise is Steve Gadd playing drums on several tracks. I was going to post the track that features his daughter Romany on vocals but it appears that *bonus versions (see YouTube or Spotify) have two bonus tracks.

Here is the second bonus track, which I think is fantastic and it's just a jam with I believe the late Rick Wright on keyboards...

The first track features his daughter singing, very nice indeed.

Very nice indeed Tim.
I love the second (long) track.

I was a bit confused by your original post but then I'm easily confused these days but whichever way round the clips are it is very good.
Thanks for sharing.
