I am still getting the wrong format error. Out of interest  @ntpntpntp , what browser are you using? I am using Chrome, may try Edge later as I have found that sometimes, when trying to pay for something using 'Sagepay', it will not let me on Chrome but will on Edge, (I know that is nothing relative to this problem), but the browser may have something to do with it.

I used to be indecisive - now I'm not - I don't think.

Its telling you the file type or size is wrong, or is not the same as used to be allowed.  Try loading a picture you have previously successfully loaded and see what happens.

Same version as me - so that is one theory shot down in flames!

Still not working for me. Used a photo previously used on my layout thread, says not a valid file. Just did the same on this thread & exactly the same message again. I can no longer upload any of my photos onto the forum it seems  :hmmm: It must be a problem caused by the server change as this hasn't happened before.

Cheers, Stu

The most likely explanation is the file image "type" filter the database currently has.

As its probably a new install it may have gone back to a default setting and the range of acceptable file types and sizes may need adjusted @Tank

Right, what we're going to do it put a new gallery update on here.  Hopefully this should be easier for everyone to use.  It also has built in editing for photo's.  Hopefully that will sort out any issues with the gallery.

Yes its the input filter and Tank has commented on the way forward above.

If the internet thingy worked as fast for me as it seems to do for others, I would have seen the reply from Tank before I sent my post! I can't blame the forum for the fact that I live in the middle of nowhere .................... can I?  :). But thank you to those of you who try and help us who are not as clued up.

I went through my pictures file looking for photo's I had previously uploaded. The first one I tried, which I was not certain I had previously uploaded, give me the error message, but the second one, (the one above), worked okay. Life is fun!

My guess is a file size limit
