BT/EE Users

Hello all,

Are there any BT/EE users on here? Are you able to access the forum ok?

One user who uses the above isn't able to see the website anymore, and I'm trying to eliminate any causes.

I'm on BT Broadband and have no issues. It's an old hub, though.

Yes. That's me. I curse them every day as EE send me texts saying that the network has a problem every day, and I'm still expected to pay full price for the service.

But yes I am OK with the forum connection.

*I do wonder why I can easily have 4G when I'm sailing offshore in the Greek Islands or in the Caribbean, but in rural Leicestershire there is NO SIGNAL and I have to work on Wifi. We are just exploited by the network providers who pamper to city dwellers...but that's a different gripe*

I've been a BT/EE fibre broadband customer for a couple of years and have never had a problem connecting to the forum.

I'm with BT/EE and no problems. I have a new hub with the interface for old analogue phone on it which I believe is the latest version.

That's because when you're NOT roaming you're limited to a single service provider.
When you're in the Greek islands your phone will connect to whichever provider has the best signal.

@Tank I turned off my router overnight, turned it on this morning and..

LO AND BEHOLD - I'm using the laptop to access the forum and can do the same with my mobile via the router.

I had reset the router before but maybe didn't give it long enough to actually do anything.
Thanks for all your help and to everyone for their replies which I was going to use as ammunition against BT/EE who, surprise surprise, didn't even suggest resetting the router at all

Some years ago the government talked about forcing the mobile companies to provide "local roaming" within the UK. Of course it never happened, so we still have lots of "not spots" (I work on a business park that has many thousands of workers and can't currently even sustain a phone call) and multiple masts from rival companies in other areas.
