How about some simple N Gauge tips? Ideally a single line tip that'll help your fellow Ners. I'll start..

a magnet on a stick is your friend :)

When  using superglue  allow a  small  PC  fan to  run  over your work  while the glue dries  it  prevents the white  kicker  fumes/marks   building up on  your work.

When working with small springs (couplings etc) work with your hands inside a large clear bag.

(This way when the spring goes ping it doesnt disappear into the carpet never to be seen again.)

When soldering ensure that the parts to be joined are clean and the iron is hot enough to do the job quickly.

When soldering under a baseboard, do NOT drip solder down one's shirt front !!  Take my word for it, IT HURTS !!!!!!!!! :(

When fixing wires/cables to the underside of a baseboard use an industrial staple gun. This wont damage the cable,is easy to position and/or remove and helps cable runs being neater, therefore making fault finding easier.

Strip paint off old models with Oven Cleaner. Spray on, wait 40 minutes, scrub with old toothbrush. Ta Da! (May need 2nd attempt.)
Personal motto: You don't have to be mad to be a modeller, but I find it helps!
