Southern is a UK passenger train operating company (TOC). Southern is owned by Govia and operates the South Central routes and the Gatwick Express. The company has electric and diesel multiple units and operates mainly out of London Victoria and London Bridge. Govia took over the Connex South Central franchise in 2001, rebranding it as Southern in 2004.
